Espresso martinis have taken the bar scene by storm and if you're like us you're always looking for the best one. Now you can take home the best of the bar and the coffee shop with our simple at home recipe for an espresso martini (no espresso machine required).
Our recipe requires
- coffee liqueur
- cold brew (or espresso - if you have a machine at home)
- chocolate sauce
- crushed peppermint
We made our own coffee liqueur using this recipe from PlantYou.
DIY Coffee Liqueur
Save your coffee grounds from your morning coffee and pour in vodka, let rest for at least 30 minutes and then strain and store.
Now on to the 'espresso' martinis.
In a shaker or blender, mix in
- 1/2 cup of coffee liqueur you just made
- 1 1/2 cups of cold brew (or 2 shots of espresso per drink)
- chocolate sauce (pour to your hearts desire)
- ice
