On Monday May 9, Pachamama Coffee opened the doors to the new Placerville, CA cafe. Pachamama was approached by owner, Jacob Mingle, of Totem Coffee Co and after months long conversations we are thrilled to be bringing in the Totem Coffee Family to Pachamama.
Totem Coffee opened its door in Placerville seven years ago with “a mission to bring high quality locally roasted specialty coffee to our hometown and to create a safe place for people to gather, connect, and create community and culture.” Pachamama is honored to be passed the torch and continue the legacy that Jacob and his staff built in Placerville for the community.
This will be the fourth cafe for Pachamama Coffee. In one week’s time the original Totem Coffee space was given a fresh new look to launch into its new season as Pachamama’s next cafe location. Transitioning the location was a simple task for the seasoned operations team at Pachamama. Leading the design process was Creative Director, Rosa Angelica, who described the aesthetic choices for the cafe. “We chose high reflective white paint for all the walls to immediately make the space feel brighter, and more open and welcoming. We strategically picked accents to fill the space with color and make it come alive through the furniture choices, mural painting, photos and a variety of plants.”
Jacob and the staff will remain at the cafe as Pachamama employees and we are so happy for our family to grow and spread the knowledge, dedication and mission of our farmer owners further throughout the greater Sacramento region with this storefront.
